Short answer: Hit the Road Dude is a viral TikTok from August 2025 in which a driver in a white pickup tells two anglers they are on private property, not state property, and orders them to “hit the road, dude”. Where it comes from

The original clip was posted to TikTok by @bird28thegr8 on August 21, 2025 with the caption “Angry grandpa kicks me out my fishing spot”. It is filmed from the anglers’ side while the driver talks to them from his truck.

Its lines spun off several meme names: Hit the Road Dude, State Property and Lock ’Em Up.

The AI version

In October 2026 creators began remaking the clip with AI video tools, swapping the driver for cats, dogs, game characters and themselves while keeping the pickup, the pond and the lines. Template tools like this one let anyone make one from a single photo.
